About Pilgrim’s Perch

My name is Nichola Winter and I’m delighted you’ve found your way to Pilgrim’s Perch. We’re all pilgrims in some way – we all journey through life, taking on its joys, delights and challenges. Sometimes we’ll travel with no difficulty at all; at other times there’ll be stumbling blocks, wrong turnings and hesitations as we pick our way along the trail.

I enjoy walking and exploring, whether it’s my local lanes and byways, or further afield. Like you, I find some days easier than others. The important thing to remember is that you’re not alone.

As we journey there’s always something different and exciting to see and different ways to deal with the pitfalls along the way. I’m looking forward to sharing some of my discoveries with you – and the ways in which we can approach and deal with the things we encounter.

I hope that you’ll have fun on the journey and that some of the ideas you encounter here will help you when the going gets tough.

There is an old Celtic blessing that goes like this:

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,

may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I hope you’ll be able to ‘perch’ as you travel and to enjoy the posts on Pilgrim’s Perch.

Happy travels!
